Baptist Youth Ministry
what the?
Intro
Baptist Youth Ministries is one piece of a big picture: we are part of a huge network of Churches and organisations that seek to radically live out the call that Jesus has placed on our lives: to love God and love people.
We come under the umbrella of the Baptist Churches of NSW and ACT and do lots of stuff within this framework. We also partner with other Churches, denominations and para-Church organisations in celebrating Jesus and sharing the story.
We believe that following Jesus is the only way we can experience MAXIMUM LIFE and so that's what we talk about mostly.
We believe that God has revealed His great love for us in the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus and that by putting our faith in Him we find forgiveness, dignity and purpose.
We believe that God speaks to all people through lots of ways: the Bible, the Holy Spirit, His Creation and other people. There are probably other ways that we haven't discovered too because God is pretty creative. Importantly, we figure that we don't know all the answers so we need each other to stumble along in life...

Baptist Youth Ministries exists because we have an awesome team of volunteers and supporters from all over NSW and the ACT. These volunteers are usually leaders and pastors in youth groups around the state and they are legends.
Another key element to Baptist Youth Ministries is the BYM Council. These guys and girls provide wisdom, support and encouragement to the crew and meet six times per year.
Our current crop (2006) of amazing councillors is: Arthur Rickersey (Dural Baps), Nadine Newell (Parramatta Baps), Matt Le Clair (Parkside Baps), Craig McLintock (Penrith Baps) and Shane Kutchel (Cronulla Baps). If you want to know more about being a part of the BYM Council talk to us!
